The Constructivist Celebration in Partnership with NYSCATE

Strong National Museum of Play
Rochester, NY
Sunday November 22, 2009

The Constructivist Celebration is an opportunity for you to let your creativity run free with the world's best open-ended software tools in a great setting with enthusiastic colleagues who share your commitment to children, computing, creativity and constructivism. You might think of this stimulating event as a spa day for your mind and soul!

Best of all, the Constructivist Celebration at NYSCATE is being held at the Strong National Museum of Play!

The day kicks off with a keynote, by Gary Stager "Creative Computing"

The Celebration will be co-led by Sylvia Martinez, President of Generation YES.

Newsflash! Best-selling author, animator and educational publisher, Peter H. Reynolds will close the day with an inspiring presentation!

Then you will enjoy five hours of creativity on your own laptop using open-ended creativity software provided by consortium members FableVision, Inspiration, LCSI, and Tech4Learning. Representatives of Consortium Members will be there to assist with your project-development.

The Constructivist Celebration is an incredibly affordable event for you and your colleagues. $100 gets you hundreds of dollars worth of open-ended creativity software, a great lunch and the day's activities.

This workshop and its hands-on activities are appropriate for PK-12 teachers, technology coordinators and teacher educators. Members of the Constructivist Consortium will lead creative activities and serve as guides throughout the day.

There are two ways to register for the Constructivist Celebration at NYSCATE:

  1. Register here for the Celebration ONLY via credit card
